What this app does
- Track inventory intake with photos, sizes, colors, and source details.
- Save repurchase links and barcodes for quick reordering.
- Log tax expenses with receipt photos or PDFs and OCR text recognition.
- Auto-generate unique invoice numbers based on Date Received.
- Provide monthly expense reports with category breakdowns.
- Export CSV or text reports for bookkeeping or accountants.
- Store data in the cloud (no local-only storage).

Inventory workflow
- Open the Inventory tab.
- Fill in Date Received (invoice auto‑creates).
- Add size, style, color, source, repurchase link (optional), barcode, and comment.
- Tap Take Photo or Choose from Library.
- Tap Add Inventory Item.
Mark an item as sold
- Find the item and tap Edit.
- Enter Date Sold and Price Sold.
- Tap Save Changes.
Layaway workflow
- Set Layaway Status to Layaway when a payment plan starts.
- The item stays out of Sold until the final payment is made.
- When paid, change Layaway Status to Paid to move it under Sold.
Edit and photos
- Edit any field, replace the photo, or add/update the repurchase link.
- Tap a thumbnail to open a larger photo preview with zoom controls.
Barcode scanning
- Tap Scan next to Barcode to use the camera.
- Use Enter Manually if needed.
- Use the ? button for browser camera permission help.
Using your handheld barcode scanner
- Pair the scanner to your phone/tablet via Bluetooth (HID keyboard mode).
- Open Inventory and tap the Barcode field so the cursor is active.
- Scan the barcode. The number will type into the field automatically.
- Tap Add Inventory Item or Save Changes.
If the scan does not enter, re-pair the scanner and confirm it is in keyboard/HID mode.
Filters and quick counts
- Use Quick Search (Show/Hide Quick Search) to scan or type an invoice/barcode.
- Use Quick Count Filters (Size/Color/Style/Source/Price) to filter the table.
- Use Date Filter with the Date Field toggle (Received/Sold).
- Use Layaway to show layaway-only or hide layaway items.
- Tap Clear Filters to reset all filters.
- Source field auto-suggests previously used vendors.
Source summary and gallery
- Source Summary shows totals and items by vendor (use Show Summary).
- Photo Gallery shows all photos with descriptions and repurchase links (use Show Gallery).

Tax tracker workflow
- Tap Tax Tracker and enter the password.
- Add expense details and a receipt photo or PDF.
- Tap Run OCR on Receipt to auto‑fill.
- Tap Add Expense.
Payment methods
Choose a payment method from the dropdown:
- Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, Check
- Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Bank Transfer, Other
Category totals
- The Category Totals cards show year‑to‑date totals by category.
Monthly reports
- Scroll to Monthly Reports inside Tax Tracker.
- Select a month/year.
- Review totals, category breakdown, and transactions.
- Export with CSV, Text, or Print.
Exporting data
- Inventory: Export CSV on Inventory tab.
- Expenses: Export CSV on Tax tab.
- Monthly reports: CSV, Text, or Print in Monthly Reports.
CSV files open in Excel, Google Sheets, or can be sent to an accountant.
Invoice imports
- Save the invoice scan as a photo or PDF.
- Use the template files in the project folder:
- INVOICE_IMPORT_TEMPLATE.md for naming rules and notes.
- invoice-import-template.csv to list line items.
- Send the invoice file + CSV for import into Inventory and Tax Tracker.
Tips
- Use clear, bright photos for the best OCR results.
- Use comments for invoice numbers or special notes.
- Keep Date Received accurate for clean invoice IDs.
- On iPhone, tap Share → Add to Home Screen for a full‑screen app.
